JAMMU, Dec 18: Morning Walkers Association Lohar Manda Hill Top today organised Awareness Programme for the masses especially youth under the slogan of Health is Wealth.
In this camp the yoga experts were also present to aware the gathering about the regular habit of Yoga. A get-together was also held.
In this programme Rakesh Sharma, general secretary disclosed that the morning walk is very good for health as the breathing of fresh air in the morning while passing through various kinds of Botanical trees keep the body healthy.
Ashok Bali, vice-president of the Association detailed that the walk along the Manda Track and Via High Court towards Lohar-Manda Hill Top is a God given gift to all the citizens especially those of Jammu city. He made a request to Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir to link this walking road track to Khanpur Nagrota, Zoo in order to save this jungle of Botanical trees adjoining to Jammu city as the pollution in the city is increasing day by day.
Further all the morning-evening walkers walking along track of High Court and Ashoka Hotel Track towards Manda-Lohar Hill Top near P.H.E Reservoirs made a special thanks to Chief Engineer P.W.D( R& B) Jammu in fulfilling their long pending demand for repairing and maintaining of track –road from High Court to Lohar-Manda Hill Top near Army Gate. These walkers also made special thanks to the Chief Wildlife Warden, Manda Jammu for construction of four View-cum-Resting points on these tracks.
These walkers requested the Principal Secretary-cum-Commissioner of Forest Department and Chief Wildlife Warden Jammu maintaining and beautification of both the tracks, Save the trees from cutting, provide three open Gyms, lighting of High Court track and starting a drive under Urban Forestry Scheme for plantation of more Botanical Plants in Jammu city so that Pollution of Jammu city can be neutralised or reduced.
