JAMMU, Apr 6: To overcome the problem of dilapidated roads in Jammu West Assembly segment, Minister of State PWD (R&B) and Revenue, Sunil Sharma along with MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma (CA) toured Talab Tillo area of the Constituency to see the condition of lanes in the area.
Starting from Ward Number 30, the Minister and the MLA toured several areas including Ward Number 40, 41 and adjoining areas along with officials of PWD Department and asked the officers present to jot down the developmental works to be taken up in the area.
Addressing the media persons, Sunil Sharma said that the roads are not in good condition in several areas and it is the prime priority of the Government to give a better infrastructure to the public so that no problem could persist in either of the areas of the State. The Minister asked the officials to adopt a pragmatic approach while crafting new projects in order to ensure that the work envisaged will cater to the basic needs of the area. The Minister directed the concerned officers to ensure proper monitoring of the ongoing and upcoming works in the area so that basic facilities to people at grass root level could be provided. He also stated that any amount required for developmental works in the area will be provided by the Government for the betterment of the society.
Sat Sharma (CA) said that the Government will provide each and every facility to the residents of Jammu West so that their basic problems could be met. He also sought people’s cooperation and suggestions in accomplishing the job to make Jammu West a model Constituency in upcoming times. The MLA also stressed upon cleanliness drives in the area in order to build a clean surrounding for a clean nation. He also assured the public that whole Constituency will witness the era of development in coming times.
