POONCH, Oct 1: Motivational cum Industrial tour was organised by 15th battalion Jat Regiment for students to Delhi and Bikaner.
The industrial tour was flagged off by Brigadier MK Mago, Commander, Poonch Brigade amidst civil military gathering. A cultural programme was also presented by the students.
The touring team consists of 23 students and two teachers from remote and far flung villages of tehsil Mandi. They will be accompanied by one Officer, one JCO and two NCOs of 15 Jat.
The participants will visit various places of educational and historical importance including Okla Industrial area, Delhi, Maruti Udyog plant at Gurgaon, Industrial area in Bikaner and Nagpur in Rajasthan, Bahu Fort in Jammu, Red Fort, Raj Ghat, Qutub Minar, Jama Masjid, Rail Museum at Delhi, Bikaner Fort and Maharaja Karan Singh shooting range.
While addressing the participants of the tour, Brigadier MK Mago exhorted on the need for increased social, cultural and developmental awareness to facilitate development in the region and promote peace in the society at large.
