Motorcyclist arrested with cocaine

JAMMU, Nov 6: Miran Sahib police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested a motorcyclist along with around 300 grams cocaine.
As per police sources, based on reliable information, a team from Miran Sahib Police Station laid a naka at Balol and intercepted a motorcycle bearing registration number JK02AN-1520.
During checking, police recovered around 300 grams cocaine from the possession of the motorcyclist and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Rumaan Salaria, son Mohammad Shafiq Salaria, a resident of Bagh-e-Bahu.
A case under FIR Number 156/17 under Section 8/21/22 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at Police Station Miran Sahib and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment.
Police team led by SHO Miran Sahib Inspector Ravinder Rakhwal along with Incharge BPP Kulian ASI Yougal Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Choudhary, SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
