UDHAMPUR, Feb 6: A motor-cyclist died while pillion rider sustained critical injuries when their bike was hit by an unknown vehicle near Chinar Cinema at Udhampur.
The deceased has been identified as Rakesh Kumar (28), son of Puran Chand, a resident of Salmari while the injured, identified as Ankush (33), son of Charan Dass, resident of Salmari, was admitted to District Hospital, Udhampur.
The accident took place this evening when the motorcycle, bearing registration number, JK14G-8941, was hit by an unknown vehicle at near Chinar Army area. The locals shifted the injured persons to District Hospital where doctors declared him as brought dead. The police has taken cognizance.
