UDHAMPUR, May 22: A motorcyclist died while his pillion rider sustained critical injuries when their bike met with an accident after skidding off the road near Tikri on the National Highway Udhampur.
The deceased has been identified as Rakesh Singh (23), son of Onkar Singh, resident of Tandar, Tehsil Chenani. The injured, identified as Rinku Kumar (20) son of Gian Chand of Jig Chowk Katra, was admitted to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors referred him to GMC Jammu Hospital for advanced treatment.
The accident took place around 4 pm when the Motorcycle, bearing registration number JK14H-8664, skidded off the road at Tikri. Locals shifted the injured persons to District Hospital Udhampur where Rakesh Singh succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
