JAMMU, Dec 23: Police arrested a motorcyclist and recovered 94 pouches of illicit liquor from Hakkal Morh area, falling under the jurisdiction of Chatha police post.
As per police sources, a team from Chatha police post laid a naka at Hakkal Morh and intercepted a motorcycle bearing registration number JK02AK-1856.
During checking, police recovered 94 pouches of illicit liquor and arrested the motorcyclist, who has been identified as Parveen Singh, son of Kuldeep Singh, a resident of Old Satwari.
A case under FIR number 200/14 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Chatha police post and investigation started.
