JAMMU, Nov 10: A motorcyclist was arrested along with large quantity of intoxicant tablets from Kotli area, falling under the jurisdiction of Miran Sahib police station.
As per police sources, on specific information, police team from Miran Sahib police station laid a naka at Kotli and intercepted a motorcycle.
During checking, police recovered 565 intoxicant tablets and arrested the motorcyclist, who has been identified as Charanjeet Lal, son of Bachan Lal of Garnai.
A case under FIR number 126/14 under Section 8/21/22 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at Miran Sahib police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Miran Sahib police station SI Mohammad Iqbal Chagatta made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Devinder Singh and SP Headquarters Randhir Singh.
