KATHUA, Oct 22: A motorcyclist was killed while one another was seriously injured after being hit by a Punjab Roadways bus at National Highway near Barwal Morh in the district.
As per reports, Harbans Lal of Pathankote and his wife were riding a motorcycle when a speedy Punjab Roadways bus bearing registration number PB010V-5839, hit them near Barwal Morh.
Harban Lal died on the spot, while, his wife received serious injuries and was shifted to district hospital, from where she was later referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for specialized treatment.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Kathua Police Station and manhunt was on to nab the driver, who fled from the spot, leaving behind the vehicle.
