JAMMU, Oct 25: A motorcyclist was killed today in a road mishap in Bishnah area of city outskirts.
According to a police official, a man identified as Surjeet Singh son of Dharam Singh, resident of Paharian Mohalla, Jammu, sustained serious injuries when a bike (registration number PB09U-3422) on which he was travelling, was hit by a speeding minibus bearing registration number Jk02BJ-9770 at Kanal in Bishnah area.
He said that the injured man was immediately shifted to Sub District Hospital, Jammu, where he expired after some time. “The body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary room of the hospital for postmortem”, he said, adding, a case in this connection has been registered and the mini-bus involved in the mishap seized while the accused driver managed to escape.
