JAMMU, June 3: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) and Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Science and Technology (SKUAST), Jammu joined hands in a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) ceremony held at SMVDU premises.
With Signing of MoU by Ajay Kumar Sharma, Registrar SMVDU and Dr Sushil Kumar Gupta, Registrar SKUAST, doors have been opened for cooperation between the two premier institutes.
The MoU signing event was graced by the presence of Prof Pragati Kumar, Vice Chancellor SMVDU; Professor B N Tripathi, Vice Chancellor of SKUAST, Deans and Heads of Schools from SMVDU, Dr R K Salgotra, Director Institute of Bio Tech, SKUAST Jammu, Dr Anil Kumar, Dean Faculty of Agriculture SKUAST, Dr Sushil K Sharma, Dean Faculty of Agriculture Engineering, SKUAST Jammu.
On the occasion, Prof Pragati Kumar articulated the significance of the partnership between SMVDU and SKUAST, emphasizing the importance of synergistic collaboration to drive academic and research endeavors to new heights.
Dr Shafaq Rasool, Associate Dean of Academic Affairs SMVDU, gave a comprehensive presentation offering insights into the rich academic tapestry of SMVDU.
A brief overview of different programs being offered at SMVDU and introduction of new programs such as B Tech (Biotechnology), Bachelors of Design (B Des), B Tech in Mathematics and Computing, Design your Degree Program and offering B Tech (Honors) and B Tech with Minor Specialization from Academic Session 2024-25 at SMVDU was also presented.
The comprehensive presentation offering insights into the overview of SKUAST was delivered by Prof B N Tripathi, Vice Chancellor SKUAST. With the signing of MoU, students pursuing different programs at both institutions stand to benefit from enhanced opportunities from cross-institutional collaboration, enriching their academic journey and preparing them for the challenges of the modern world.
