UDHAMPUR, Apr 22: Arrangements to ensure smooth conduct of 3-day Shiv Parvati Annual Mela, Moungri commencing from May 15, were discussed at a meeting of district officers and prominent citizens including local mela committee members held under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur, Angrez Singh Rana here today.
While speaking in the meeting, ADC stressed for proper cleanliness at the site during the mela days. For the purpose, Mr. Rana gave instructions to the concerned officers to create maximum awareness regarding the Swacch Bharat Abhiyan during the mela days. Besides he asked the concerned officers to initiate the efforts to involve locals schools for generating awareness about cleanliness in and around their surrounding by organising regular awareness sessions in the respective schools.
Threadbare discussions were held on various arrangements related to smooth conduct of mela like maintenance of road, security, sanitation, health care, transport, traffic, drinking water and power supply, checking of rates, ration supply, cultural programme and sports etc.
ADC directed the officers to ensure that all arrangements pertaining to their respective departments are made well in advance and in an effective manner.
Tehsildar Moungri was nominated as the Mela Officer of Shiv Parvati Annual Mela, Moungri.
