Movement Kalki activists start hunger strike

JAMMU, Oct 21: Members of Movement Kalki here today started hunger strike demanding ‘National Mother’ status for cow and vowed to continue the protest till the demand is not met.
The hunger strike was led by Maharaj Thakur Arjun along with Core Committee member Sanjeev Dubey, Kaushal Sharma, chairman of Cow Protector Organization, Legal Advisory Board member Advocate Sumeshwar Kohli, Board Member Vikram Mahajan, Ajay Singh Saini, Sapna Hindu, Suresh Kumar, Pawan Narayan, Rajeev Gupta and others.
The protestors demanded protection and all respect to cow and urged the Government for immediate action in this regard.
Movement Kalki members informed that the hunger strike is only a beginning and they will continue their struggle until cow is given the status of ‘National Mother’ to preserve India’s cultural heritage and to honour religious sentiments of Hindus.
The hunger strike was supported by locals who pledged to strengthen Movement Kalki’s cause.
The protesters also demanded checking of cow trafficking and stressed on the need to raise awareness in society about protection of cows.
