SRINAGAR : Reiterating that the State Government is determined to transform the educational sector in Jammu and Kashmir, Minister for Education Naeem Akhtar said the movement was gaining ground with various stakeholders enthusiastically becoming a part of this endeavor of hope.
Speaking at a function organised to mark the conclusion of the three-day workshop on “Quality Education in J&K-Challenges and Ways Forward”, the Minister said this was a starting point for a fruitful and continued engagement and a way forward to bring about the much-needed turn around in the education scenario.
He said the focus of this transformational campaign was the students, the teachers and the curriculum. The workshop which involved brainstorming sessions on various issues, has been able to raise expectations from us, he said, adding that beginning has been made and tangible results shall follow with perceptible transformation of schooling.
The Minister said what was needed was a real and concerted effort to provide an enabling environment and work culture, better teacher and student relationship, sustaining teacher motivation and increasing the level of interest and inquisitiveness among students. (AGENCIES)
