MP condemns ceasefire violations by Pak

SAMBA, Oct 20: Member Parliament Jammu-Poonch constituency, Madan Lal Sharma has condemned ceasefire violations being committed by Pakistani troops along the Line of Control (LoC) and International Border (IB) in the State and called upon the Army to deal with such violations strongly.
Addressing a public meeting at Ratnu Chak in Samba, the Congress MP said that Union Government has given free hand to Army to thwart all such attempts.  He also showed concern over the migration of people from International Border in Jammu and Samba and asked the administration to provide immediate food, ration and health care to the people who are living with the relatives.
Mr Sharma asked the administration of  Rajouri and Poonch to visit the far flung border villages and ensure all those affected by firing are properly supported as per their need. He also asked that Government should take necessary steps so that studies of the children in border schools are also resumed. Mr Sharma  said that all the border people are with the Army.
The MP further asked the DCs concerned to assess the crop losses in border villages  and provide suitable compensation to the people. He directed the Sectoral Officers  to guide people and ensure that they get benefit of Centrally sponsored schemes. On this occasion, the MP announced development of school ground, village pond  and installation of water pumps out of his Constituency Development Fund.
OBC Board’s vice chairman Kuldip Raj Verma, former Minister Manjit Singh, Dr Satpal and youth Congress leader Rajesh Bittu were also present.
