JAMMU, Sept 14: Member Parliament (Rajya Sabha), Shamsher Singh Manhas today distributed 110 free gas connections among BPL families.
At a function organized by Geeta Gas Agency in village Bhadrore in Marh Block near here, the MP said that central Government is committed to provide every basic amenity to the rural population.
“Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana aims to safeguard the health of women and children by providing them with clean cooking fuel – LPG, so that they don’t have to compromise their health in smoky kitchens or wander in unsafe areas collecting firewood,” the MP said.
On this occasion Ex-Sarpanch Raghubir Singh, Naib-Sarpanch Rinku, Balbir Singh and prominent people of the area were also present.
