JAMMU, Dec 30: In a programme organised at Panchayat Bhadrode of Raipur Domana Assembly constituency Jammu district, Member of Parliament, Shamsher Singh Manhas distributed LPG cylinders to the Ujjwala beneficiaries, in presence of Sarpanch, Reena Devi, ex Sarpanch, Raghuvir Singh and other dignitaries.
During the programme more than hundred people got on spot cylinders with complete kit, a safety measure demonstration was also showcased by the Bharat Gas employees and other volunteers.
While speaking on the occasion, MP Manhas said that schemes like Ujjwala have completely changed the lives of house makers, who were facing various problems because of smoke produced due to firewood used for cooking in the houses.
MP Manhas also elaborated about the various Central sponsored schemes and historical steps being taken by the present Government.
He also came down harshly on opposition parties like Congress for creating hurdles in development by different means. He urged upon people not to fall prey to anti social elements spreading unnecessary rumours regarding Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) which has nothing to do with the people of our country.
He added the day is not far when people of the country will completely forget Congress party and it’s leaders for their misdeeds.
