KATHUA, Apr 2: Member Parliament (MP), Er. Gulam Ali inaugurated a newly constructed road at Village Taraf Sanjhi, here today.
Addressing the gathering during inaugurating the road, the Member Parliament said that Cong, NC and PDP looted the money meant for the development of the people of erstwhile State of Jammu and Kashmir but the BJP Govt. the Centre ensured the abrogation of Art 370 and 35A which provided protection to these looters.
The function was organized by Balmeet Singh and locals, wherein the MP said that the BJP Govt. led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has ushered in a new dawn of peace, peace development and progress in J&K which was denied to the people by erstwhile rulers.
He said that the much touted land reforms were the biggest scam in the history of Independent India which snatched the land from the natives without any compensation and didn’t give any proprietary rights to the tillers but the National Conference reaped the benefits of fake propaganda for almost 70 years.
The Gujjars and Pasmandas were another category of the people in the State which were used and exploited both by Congress and NC for votes without doing anything for bettering their lot, adding: “The BJP Govt. introduced the Forests Rights Act and more than 800 other Central laws in the Union Territory which will benefit the common man.”
“This will be the first time that the landless, homeless, paperless, poor will be provided land and homes,” he said.
Although, the Govt. of India is providing homes under PMAY but the same benefit can’t be availed by more than 2.5 lakh landless/paperless people of J&K but recently the LG Manoj Sinha has announced that a policy would be rolled out for landless, he said.
BJP District president Gopal Mahajan also spoke on the occasion, while Balmeet Singh put forward local problems and handed over a memorandum of demands to the Member Parliament.
Prominent persons including Yashpal Singh, Bhajan Singh, Tarlok Singh, Waseem Khatana and Bhupinder Singh Pola were present during the function.
