KATRA, Sept 2: Jugal Kishore Sharma, Member of Parliament from Jammu, along with DDC Reasi Chairman Saraf Singh Nag, District President BJP Rohit Dubey and others toured village Kotli Manyotri, Sirla Bhagha, Sujangdhar Bhomag and adjoining areas of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Assembly constituency and led Amrit Kalash Yatra under Meri Maati Mera Desh.
While addressing the gathering present at the occasion, the MP said that Bharatiya Janata Party under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has started a nationwide Amrit Kalash Yatra under “Meri Maati Mera Desh” campaign. He said that under this programme Maati from every household from urban and rural area is collected in an Amrit Kalash and taken up to the Block & District Level and then UT and to Delhi. He informed that Prime Minister Modi was very visionary and initiated a step to construct “Amrit Van” in remembrance of those people who sacrificed for the country. He said that a fundamental aspect of the program is to express heartfelt gratitude to all the bravehearts who have made supreme sacrifices.
Jugal Kishore said that a Shilaphalakam is also being installed having names of the bravehearts, freedom fighters, defense personnel, personnel of Central Armed Police Forces and State Police who laid down their lives in the line of duty. He said that an initiative of planting 75 plants/trees near Amrit Sarovars or prime location of villages also included in this programme. He said that at the memorial site people will take a solemn pledge covering the Panch Pran of Prime Minister.
Jugal Kishore Sharma also attended “Shri Nag Devta Mela ” a grand cultural fair at village Sujangdhar Bhomag.
DDC Nirmala Devi, BDC Ashok Thakur, Tehsildar Mehak Mahajan, Mandal President Ramesh, Sarpanch Kaya Devi, Rekha Devi, Shabman Bano, senior BJP leaders Adv Pawan Singh, Balwant Singh, Kulwant Singh, Tej Singh and others were also present on the occasion.
