KUPWARA, June 13: Member of Parliament (MP), Rajya Sabha, Er. Gulam Ali Khatana today conducted a comprehensive review of the ongoing developmental works in district Kupwara.
The MP took the review during a meeting of all District and Sectoral officers, here.
Addressing the meeting, the MP said that the aim of taking the review meeting is to learn about the issues and difficulties faced by people on the ground so that they could be facilitated by proper redressal.
He said that PM Narendra Modi has a vision of serving the last man in the row and administration is the medium through which this can be achieved.
He asked all the officers to have a vision for uplifting the standard of living of the common masses especially people belonging to poor sections so that they could be benefitted at large.
Er. Khatana impressed upon the officers to become people friendly and serve them with dedication and compassion.
The MP took a detailed review of different schemes department-wise including School Education, Health, RDD, PDD, Agriculture, ULB, Food, Transport, Tourism, Social Welfare, Labour department, Employment and Sheep/Animal Husbandry.
He asked PDD to ensure that inflated bills are not raised against the poor consumers and complaints are redressed as soon as possible. Jal Shakti Deptt was asked to provide clean drinking water, while animal husbandry Dept. was asked to devise strategies to become self sufficient in meat production and improve quality of sheep, goat.
During the meeting, the ADC Kupwara, Ghulam Nabi Bhat presented a detailed powerpoint presentation and apprised the MP about the development profile of Kupwara district.
He also highlighted the significant accomplishments in different sectors of the district during which the MP took detailed feedback from the concerned district officers regarding their developmental activities on ground.
Among others, the meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kupwara, JD Planing, SE (Hydraulic), Engineers from (KPDCL), R&B, CMO, ACR, ACD and concerned district officers.
