MP Ladakh chairs KBR Airport Advisory Committee meeting

LEH, Jan 3: The meeting of Airport Advisory Committee of KBR Airport, Leh was held under the chairmanship of Member of Parliament, Ladakh, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal at the conference Hall of DC office, Leh.
The MP addressed various issues such as Wi-Fi System, car parking, Flight Information Display outside the terminal, entry passes, and the Solid Waste Management system at KBR Airport. He issued directives for the prompt resolution of these matters within 10 days.
Special attention was given to the oxygen cylinder supply in four airlines, with an emphasis on the need of doctors on contractual basis at KBR Airport Leh. The meeting also delved into topics such as solid waste management, a solar power plant, and updates on Nubra-Thoise and Kargil Airports in Leh.
Namgyal raised pending issues of APD contractual workers, covering service continuity, wages, hard station alliance, C-category, and experience alliance, presenting them to the Director of KBR Airport Leh.
Members actively contributed valuable suggestions and feedback during the meeting, fostering collaboration among stakeholders.
The meeting among others was attended by Com Secretary Ladakh Ravinder Kumar, Deputy Commissioner Leh Santosh Sukhadeve, AOC, 21 Wing IAF Leh, Admn Commandant Leh Sub Area 14 Corp C/o 56 APO, Executive Officer Municipal Committee Leh, Assistant Director Tourism Leh, Station Manager Air India Leh, Station Manager Vistara Leh, Station Manager Spice Jet Leh, Station Manager Indigo Airlines Leh, president of all Ladakh Tour Operators Association, president Hotel/Guest House Association Leh and district president, BJP Leh.
