LEH, May 11: An awareness-cum-on spot delivery of benefit of various individual beneficiary oriented Centrally sponsored schemes is being organised by District Administration, Leh in collaboration with Ladakh Gonpa Association, Leh and nominated Councillor (Sanga) Ven Konchok Tsephel at Dharma Centre, Choglamsar, Leh.
Thiksey Khenpo Rinpoche, Skabje Togdan Rinpoche, Bakula Rangdol Nima Rinpoche in presence of MP Ladakh Jamyang Tsering Namgyal inaugurated the five-day Seva for Sangha camp at Dharma Centre, Choglamsar Leh.
Union Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Shandilya Giriraj Singh also appreciated the conduct of this special camp during the mass prayer in Leh. He also visited all the camps and interacted with the officials.
Thiksey Khenpo Rinpoche emphasised the importance of this mass prayer camp for universal peace and prosperity. He lauded the efforts of the MP Ladakh and the administration for conducting the special camp for the first time in Leh especially for the Sangha community. He hoped that the Sangha community across Ladakh would avail maximum benefit from this special camp.
While addressing the audience, MP Ladakh, Jamyang Tsering spoke about the purpose of the Seva for Sangha camp which focuses on targeting individual-oriented beneficiary schemes. It focused primarily on the list of schemes including Golden Card, UDID, Disability Pension, Old Age Pension, Health ID, Aadhar enrolment and updation, Pension for women in destitute, Ration Card, PM Awaz Yojana Gramin, PAN Card, Medical Camps and Health Awareness provided by the concerned departments. Banks also provide their services and promote the schemes of PM Jeevan Jyoti Yojana, PM Suraksha Bima Yojana, PM Jan Dhan Yojana and Atal Pension Yojana.
The MP informed that ITBP is also providing medical camp and other required things like tents for smooth conduct of the Seva for Sangha camp. He also said that CIBS teachers are assigned to assist the beneficiaries.
The opening ceremony was attended by the President Gonpa Association, Acharya Stanzin Wangtak; Nuns and monks from different monasteries of Ladakh; representatives of women’s wing of Ladakh Buddhist Association; representatives from youth wing of Ladakh Buddhist Associations; Councillors and HoDs.
