MP Ladakh seeks redressal of Anantnag traders’ grievances

JAMMU, June 25: BJP MP (Lok Sabha) from Ladakh Parliamentary constituency, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal has sought intervention of Lt Governor Manoj Sinha for redressal of the grievances raised during the Vyapari Sammelan in Anantnag District.
In a letter to the LG, MP Ladakh drew attention towards the grievances raised during the Vyapari Sammelan, which was aimed to address the challenges being faced by local traders, fruit growers and other business communities.
The key grievances raised during the meeting included permission to the Hoteliers in Pahalgam for repair and lease extension, waste disposal systems, improved sewage and water facilities besides tourism-related policies that prioritize environmental sustainability; exemption to fruit growers from KCC loan interest and improvements in the transportation system for cherries, which have a limited shelf life; simplified procedures for private schools across Kashmir for getting new registrations and renewals; assistance to private hospital operators in reliable electricity supply and implementing efficient biomedical waste management systems; immediate action for garbage clearance near the industrial area in Anantnag, transparent scrutiny of industrial land allotments, canceling multiple land allotments to a single beneficiary and participation in decision-making processes; intervention for the completion of the public parking building in Anantnag, resolution of blockages on the Kazigund-Shopian Road and centralization of district administration offices in the district headquarters for easy public access.
“I kindly request your intervention and necessary directions to resolve these issues promptly. Additionally, an action taken report from the relevant officials would be highly appreciated,” reads the letter by MP Ladakh, hoping positive response for the betterment of Anantnag District.
