LEH, July 16: Member Parliament Ladakh Jamyang Tsering Namgyal laid the foundation stone for improvement and upgradation of road from T01 to Teggar in Nubra Sub Division under Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) today.
Deputy Chairman LAHDC Leh Tsering Sandup, Councilor Panamic Rigzin Lundup, BDC Chairperson Lobzang Gytso and villager were present on the occasion.
MP while addressing the gathering said that one of the long pending demands of Panamic constituency will see light. The improvement and upgradation of the road is stretched over a length of 3.54 kms and its sanctioned cost is approximately Rs 3.45 crores under PMGSY scheme, he added.
Enroute to Rongdo, MP Ladakh also visited the village of Tsati and Chamshen where public representatives and village heads demanded for blacktopping of Tsati road and other major and minor development works. MP Namgyal also inspected the newly built hydroelectric project of Chamshain village.
Later, MP Ladakh also inaugurated the 82 meter long Rongdo motorable bridge in Disket constituency in presence of area councilor. The bridge was built at a cost of Rs 6.15 crores by the PWD.
