MP, Shrine Board member, others call on Governor

SRINAGAR, June 17:  Muzaffar Hussain Baig, Member of Parliament, met Governor N.N. Vohra at the Raj Bhavan here today.
Baig and Governor discussed several important issues relating to the obtaining situation in the State.
Vijay Dhar, Member Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB) also called on Governor. They discussed several issues regarding the forthcoming Shri Amarnathji Yatra, particularly the steps already under way for ensuring the safety and security of the pilgrims and the Service Providers.
Dr. Amit Wanchoo, Chairman “H.N Wanchoo Trust” also called on Governor and apprised him about the to-date status of the Ambulance Service which has been run for the past over 2 years by the “H.N Wanchoo Trust”, in association with the State Health Department.
He informed that the Trust is adding 2 more Ambulances to the existing fleet and also introducing added facilities of a Testing Laboratory and Medicine Shop with these Ambulances.
Governor appreciated the H.N Wanchoo Trust for the laudable humanitarian work being done for the benefit of society and urged Dr. Wanchoo to carry on his good work with added vigour.
Meanwhile, Jagmohan Singh Raina, President All J&K Sikh Coordination Committee (AJKSCC), called on Governor and apprised him about the varied serious problems being faced by the Sikh community living in J&K and appealed for devoted attention being paid for the resolution of the issues being faced by the people in the Valley.
Governor complimented Raina  for continuing to play a positive role in bringing about a resolution of various problem facing the people and urged him to sustain his endeavours with ever greater vigour.
