JAMMU, Apr 13: Formed with an aim to help poor, needy and deserving families of Kashmiri Pandits, especially the student community, Mochi Phali Saet Athroat Trust (MPSAT), Jammu distributed a cash assistance of Rs 49,000 during the year 2014-15 including Rs 30,000 distributed among patients and students during an annual general body meeting at Muthi, here today.
Meanwhile, during the meeting, the members elected Veer Ji Bhat as the chairman of the Trust for fourth consecutive term for a period of four years from 2015-18.
Pyare Lal Koul and Sushil Kumar Razdan were elected auditors of the Trust, while AK Dhar and Roshan Lal Bhat were elected general secretary and treasurer respectively.
After his re-election, Mr Bhat addressed the members and presented a comprehensive report of the working of the organization and steps taken by it in mitigating the sufferings of the people of the community.
He appreciated the support and cooperation from the staff of Camp Higher Secondary Schools including Muthi, Shastri Nagar and Bohri along with the employees of Migrant Cell Jammu.
Free coaching rendered to the community students by Sunrise Vidhyavani Institute Dream City was also highlighted on the occasion.
Prominent among those present in the meeting were Dr Ravinder Raina, Mukesh Thaploo, S L Koul, C L Bhat, R L Bhat, KL Koul, Venu Ji Bhat, RK Bhat, SK Pandita, Vinod Zutshi, Ravi Ji Bhat, Manoj Kumar, R K Pandita, AK Matoo, S K Ganjoo, JL Pandita, PK Pandta, PL Bhat and Chand Ji Ambardar.
