JAMMU, Apr 30: Mochhi Pholi Saeth Athroat Trust (MPSAT) Jammu held annual general body meeting here under the chairmanship of Veer Ji Bhat.
The meeting was conducted to review the functioning of the organization and its future course of action.
Kuldeep Raina, Chairman Samajik Vikas Sanstha was the chief guest and Chand Ji Ambardar, President Durga Mandar Prabandak Committee Durga Nagar was guest of honour.
While speaking, Kuldeep Raina provided his full support to the organization in future for serving the community through MPSAT.
Dr Ravinder Raina, senior member while speaking laid stress for removal of social evils prevailing in the community.
The meeting started with welcome address by Veer Ji Bhat, Chairman. He gave a detailed note related to aims and objectives of the trust and need of its establishment.
The meeting paid rich tributes to the departed souls related to organization who expired during the last one year and two minutes silence was observed in their respect by the members of the organization.
Roshan Lal Bhat, Treasurer presented balance sheet with details of income and expenditure for the financial year 2016-17 wherein it was stated that an amount of Rs 2.67 lakh was distributed among the needy families on account of marriage, education and medical assistance.
Various members who spoke on the occasion and gave their opinions were AK Dhar, General Secretary, SL Koul, CL Bhat, Simi Bhat and Jeeta Koul.
A book namely “Panchamrit” written by Krishan Kumar Pandita a senior member of the trust was released by Kuldeep Raina and other dignitaries.
In the end, RL Koul presented the vote of thanks.
The members present in the meeting include Vinod Zutshi, Roop Krishan, SK Pandita, RK Pandita, Princy Bhat, Princy Ambardar, Basanti Bhat and many others.
