JAMMU, Mar 22: Medical Superintendent (MS), Government Hospital, Gandhi Nagar, Dr Chander Parkash was injured today in a road mishap in Nagrota area of city outskirts.
According to police sources, Dr Chander Parkash was on his way from Udhampur to Jammu in his car (Tata Tiago) bearing registration number JK14E-7775, when on reaching near TCP Nagrota he lost control over the steering and the car rolls down the road before hitting a road side tree.
“In the mishap, Dr Parkash received serious injuries and was immediately rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu by a team of police station Nagrota,” they said.
Medical Superintendent of GMCH Jammu, Dr Dara Singh told Excelsior that the condition of the injured doctor is stable now and tomorrow doctors will take decision whether to operate him or not for a fracture which he has received in his thigh.
Dr Parkash is scheduled to take over as Incharge Administrative Medical Officer (ADMO) Labour (ESI) and Director Family Welfare, MCH and Immunization on superannuation of Dr Arun Sharma (Incharge ADMO Labour, ESI) on April 1, 2020.
Meanwhile, police said that a case FIR Number 134/2020 under Sections 279/337 IPC has been registered in this connection at police station Nagrota and investigation started.
