JAMMU, Jan 1: Mission Statehood Jammu Kashmir (MSJK) has demanded holding of Rajya Sabha (RS) elections along with the by-elections of Nagrota and Budgam constituencies.
Addressing a press conference here today, MSJK leader, Sunil Dimple has demanded nomination of a member from Jammu Dogra community for Rajya Sabha along with the nomination of five MLAs for Legislative Assembly.
He also demanded that the alliance government should nominate four Rajya Sabha members and 5 MLAs apart from holding Urban Local Body and Panchayat elections immediately.
The MSJK leader expressed concern that even after two months of the alliance government assuming office, the Constituency Development Funds are not allotted to the MLAs but luxurious cars were given to them.
He claimed that dual power centres in J&K have created confusion for the youths and the people.
Dimple also demanded restoration of Statehood with special status for J&K.
