JAMMU, Apr 4: Mission Statehood J&K (MSJK) activists here today took out a protest rally and torched the effigy of BJP & J&K Government for implementing new Excise Policy from April 4, 2023 by opening of open bars and more wine shops.
The protest rally was led by Sunil Dimple, MSJK leader, who while addressing the protesters said that by opening more liquor shops in J&K the Government is spoiling the youth.
He demanded complete ban on liquor in J&K particularly in Jammu which is the City of Temples and alleged that the LG Government is allowing more liquor mafia goons from outside to our Union Territory to manufacture and sell liquor here with whole hearted support of the Government thus pushing our youth, civil society and citizens into bad habit of alcohol consumption.
The MSJK leader demanded restoration of Statehood to J&K, holding of Assembly election and deferring of Property Tax.
Ashok Khanna, Dev Raj, Raju Kumar and others were also present in the protest rally.
