MSJK protests against new Excise Policy

JAMMU, Mar 29: Activists of Mission Statehood JK (MSJK) here today staged a protest demonstration against the new Excise Policy of J&K Government.
The protest was led by MSJK president, Sunil Dimple and the protesters torched the copies of new Excise Policy along with the effigies of J&K Government.
Addressing the protesters Sunil Dimple claimed that the new Excise Policy allows open bars, wine outlets and retail beer vends at tourism establishments, airports and in City of Temples.
He demanded complete ban on liquor in J&K and alleged the on the name of revenue generation J&K Government has made Jammu a hub of liquor consumption through its new Excise Policy.
He said there are number of States in our country including Gujarat which has complete ban on liquor.
“The LG Government is now allowing more liquor mafia goons from outside to come to our Union Territory to manufacture and sell liquor with whole hearted support of the present government thus putting our youth and citizens into bad habits of alcohol consumption,” the MSJK leader maintained.
Sachin, Sat Sharma, Rupesh Bhat and others were also present in the protest.
