JAMMU, June 27: Activists of Mission Statehood Jammu Kashmir (MSJK) here today staged a protest demonstration against PDD and PHE Department as the city continues to reel under water and power crisis.
The protest was led by MSJK president, Sunil Dimple who claimed that lack of water supply in Jammu and long unscheduled power cuts despite installation of smart meters have made life of the people miserable. The MSJK leader said that main cause affecting water supply is protest of daily wagers and urged upon J&K LG to call PHE and PDD daily wagers for talks with them to resolve the issues.
“Amarnath pilgrims have started visiting Jammu but acute scarcity of drinking water and power cuts is giving them bad experience,” he maintained demanding start of work on Chenab Water Supply project.
Ram Kapoor, Sudershan Sharma, Kala Kumar, Raju and many others were also present in the protest.
