MSJK protests, demands ban on liquor sale

JAMMU, Mar 15: Mission Statehood Jammu Kashmir (MSJK) activists here today staged a protest demonstration demanding passage of a bill in the ongoing session of J&K Legislative Assembly (LA) to ban liquor sale in the Union Territory.
The protest was led by Sunil Dimple, MSJK president who claimed that 28 MLAs of BJP remain silent in the LA on the issue of ban on the sale of liquor in J&K.
He also claimed that despite repeated requests to stop e-tender bidding for wine shops in 2025-26, the tender are being floated this month.
Dimple urged the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah and LG Manoj Sinha to ban the sale of liquor in J&K.
He also demanded restoration of Statehood to J&K and starting of Darbar Move practise from April 2025.
Amit Raina, Brahmu Sharma, Bishan Das, Sunil Kumar, Rakesh Sethi, Akbar Khan, Shafi Khan, Rakesh, Vipan, Mukesh and many others were also present in the protest.
