JAMMU, Apr 25: President, Mission Statehood Jammu Kashmir (MSJK), Sunil Dimple today demanded the Union Government to restore special status to Jammu and Kashmir before assembly elections are held.
Addressing a press conference here today, Dimple alleged that there is no democracy in J&K after abrogation of Article 370 and demolition of the Dogra state into two union territories post 5th August, 2019. He said BJP has made J&K people slaves and put the erstwhile state on sale with holding no assembly elections.
He demanded restoration of special status and Statehood to J&K. He, however, said that there will be no assembly elections in J&K till BJP Government is at Centre. Dimple said by not holding assembly elections, BJP is committing murder of democracy. He also accused the Election Commission of India playing in the hands of BJP.
“If the Election Commission can hold Panchayat and Urban Local Body elections in J&K, then what is the problem in holding assembly elections,” he questioned. Dimple said that BJP has spoiled the future of our educated youths with unemployment among the educated youths is at peak. He said MSJK leaders will fight till their last breadth for the restoration of Statehood and special status to J&K.
