MSJK stages protest against JKPDCL

JAMMU, Jan 13: Mission Statehood Jammu Kashmir (MSJK) activists here today staged a protest demonstration against JKPDCL and expressed resentment against long power cuts.
The protesters demanded installation of free solar electricity plants for poor families.
The protest was led by Sunil Dimple, MSJK leader who said that PM Modi should return back Salal and Uri Hydel Projects to J&K and provide free electricity and drinking water to J&K people.
He claimed that the government was selling solar plants for electricity and is befooling poor people on solar lights on the pretext of free electricity.
The MSJK leader said that J&K government is now forcing public for hundred per cent metering.
He also demanded restoration of Statehood to J&K and election to four Rajya Sabha seats in J&K.
Dimple further demanded scraping of Indus Water Treaty with Pakistan.
Prominent among protesters were Sanjay Kumar, Shivam, Shafi, Altaf, Betab, Narender Chowdhry, Tilak Raj, Aman Singh, Bitu Kumar, Ashok Sharma, Tarsem Lal, Sanjeev and others.
