JAMMU, Feb 29: Mission Statehood J&K (MSJK) activists here today staged a protest demonstration against PDD and torched power bills.
The protest was led by MSJK leader Sunil Dimple who claimed that 50 per cent power connections in Jammu city of poor families have been disconnected.
He said that power projects of J&K like Salal, Uri, Rattle etc should be returned back and power bills of the poor families should be waived off.
“The Government is looting the poor people from J&K by 15 per cent hike in power tariff,” the MSJK leader maintained further demanding free electricity and water supply for the poor.
Swarn Singh, Kala Singh, Mohan Lal, Vijay Kumar, Daleep Kumar, Lahori Shah, Arun Verma, Babu Singh and others were also present in the protest.
