JAMMU, Sept 26: MSME in collaboration with Technisch Kaizen Services Private Limited and NGO SUPPORT today conducted a one-day workshop cum awareness camp on the importance and awareness of startups and incubations for young students/professionals.
The 5th day of the Induction Program for entrants featured a captivating workshop held at MBSCET. The workshop offered valuable insights on social work, entrepreneurship and the MSME (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) scheme.
The inaugural session was taken by Dr Navneet Kaur (Director, Technisch Kaizen Services and founder chairperson of NGO SUPPORT). She stated that Startups and Incubations are essential for providing students with practical experience and opportunities to develop their skills and ideas. “They allow students to apply the knowledge and skills they have gained in the classroom to real-world projects and help them prepare for the future,” he added.
Annil Suri (Entrepreneur) and Gurneet Singh, a Consultant in MSME, also graced the event as key speakers. Annil Suri delivered a motivating talk that resonated deeply with the attendees. Annil Suri drew from his own real-life experiences, sharing challenges and successes he encountered on his entrepreneurial journey while Gurneet Singh shed light on various aspects of the MSME scheme, including financial support, Government initiatives, and market trends, equipping the new entrants with knowledge to navigate this promising arena.
Sarabjit Kaur was the event coordinator. A gathering of 120 professionals and young engineers participated in the workshop. Certificates and mementoes were presented to the participants and professionals of MBSCET.
Faculty members present in the workshop were Principal Prof Dr Dinesh Kumar Gupta, Sarabjit Kaur (HoD APSH), Dean Academics Prof Parveen Singh, vice principal Dr Amreek Singh, Dr Sanjeev Singh HoD ENC, Prof Ripu Daman and Ravinder Bhardwaj, TPO.
The event was supported by MSME Assistant Director Devinder Tyagi and Rajesh Kumar Assistant Director MSME and Ashaq Wani, Director Technisch Kaizen (Skills and Training Projects).
