MSTA demands increase in turnover clause

JAMMU, Oct 28: Medical and Surgical Traders Association (MSTA) has strongly condemned the alleged rigid attitude of the Health and Medical Education Department for not increasing the turnover clause of drugs/ machinery equipment from Rs 15 crore to Rs 50 crore.
Despite representations made by the Principals of Government Medical College Jammu/Kashmir, the Administrative Department has taken no action for increasing the turnover clause, said the Association in a meeting of its members.
Increasing the turnover clause is in the interest of the department so that spurious drugs type of scams are not repeated in the department, the Association explained.
The emergency meeting was attended by Ashok Amla, Mohan Sharma, Vijay Tikoo, Gokul Koul and Sandeep Singh.
