Mubarak Singh appointed Dharmarth Trust President

JAMMU, Feb 3: Mubarak Singh, a retired KAS officer and three-time Deputy Commissioner, today assumed the charge as President of J&K Dharmarth Trust.
Speaking on the occasion, Mubarak Singh said that he was grateful to Dr Karan Singh, Chairman of the Trust and Trustees of the Dharmarth Trust for providing him an opportunity to serve this historic and prestigious Trust.
In his message to the employees of the Trust, the newly appointed President said: “We would make collective efforts to keep everybody along for the progress and the development of temples of the Trust and for the betterment of faith of the people.”
Mubarak Singh asserted that he will leave no stone unturned to make sure that rich traditions of Dharmarth Trust to upkeep various religious places and shrines besides ensuring facilities to devotees at these pilgrim destinations should be maintained and new initiatives be taken to facilitate the rising footfall of visitors in the places being taken care of by this most prestigious Trust of J&K UT rendering service to people of J&K since last several decades. He also laid emphasis on the celebrations of ensuing festival of Shivratri and Ram Navmi in all the temples of Dharmarth Trust.
Prior to present assignment, Mubarak Singh was holding various posts including three time Deputy Commissioner (Samba & Doda), Vice Chairman Jammu Development Authority, Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation, Special Secretary to Government Health and Medical Edu-cation besides several keys posting during the service in J&K Government. After his retirement, he was having assignment of Chairperson Child Welfare Committee (Juvenile Justice Act), Samba. He was also a member of the Council of the J&K Dharmarth Trust for the last three years.
Besides, Goverdhan Singh, a retired DySP, was also appointed as a Member of the Dharmarth Trust Council. He had served the Police Department and post retirement he served the Central University.
Soon after taking over the charge, both the dignitaries visited the historical Raghunath Temple and prayed for the peace, progress and prosperity of Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory. Dr Sat Pal, Secretary of the Trust, was also present on the occasion.
