MUMBAI, Apr 30: Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, met Bollywood thespian, Dalip Kumar here today.
Saira Banu, the wife of the iconic star, was also present on the occasion.
During his meeting with Dalip Kumar, Mufti Sayeed enquired about his health and wished him a long life. He also invited Dalip Kumar and Saira Banu to visit Kashmir valley this summer.
Describing him as one of the greatest actors of the Indian film industry, the Chief Minister recalled some of his memorable works in a career spread over six decades.
Minister for Finance, Dr Haseeb A Drabu, also accompanied the Chief Minister.
Earlier, Shahrukh Khan called on Mufti Sayeed here today.
During their meeting, Mufti Sayeed described Shahrukh Khan as a great and versatile actor who has portrayed wide array of roles in his long and memorable career.
The Chief Minister took him down the memory-lane when the Indian film industry used to shoot their films at popular locations of Kashmir valley. He hoped that the film fraternity of Mumbai will take the initiative and revive their lost bonds with the paradise on earth.
Fondly recalling his childhood memories, Shahrukh revealed that his grandmother was of Kashmiri origin. He said he would love to shoot in Kashmir again, as this way, he will be able to relive the good moments of 2013, when he worked in renowned filmmaker late Yash Chopra’s last directorial venture, Jab Tak Hai Jaan.
