Mufti must apologise to nation for Masrat Alam’s release: Togadia

Jammu, Mar 8: Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) International general secretary Praveen Togadia today said Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed must apologise to the people of  the State and the nation for setting free the alleged killer of  120 people of Kashmir in 2010.
“Mr Sayeed is acting against the people of the State, against employment and peace,” Dr Togadia told mediapersons after addressing a ‘Vishal Sammelan’ of VHP here this afternoon.    He said Mufti had allowed the release of an element, who was a mastermind of 2010 situation in the Valley in which 120 people were killed due to stone pelting.    The VHP firebrand termed Mr Sayeed as an enemy of peace and prosperity of all the three regions of Jammu and Kashmir and said, “if he will not stop, people of India and the State will decide and force him to step down.”
Dr Togadia said the PDP patron should apologise for shielding the anti-nationals and work for an overall development otherwise he would not be allowed to remain in the chair.    On Article 370, the VHP leader said, “We have not diluted the issue of Article 370 and we are determined and committed to abrogate it.”
VHP, Dr Togadia said, wants Jammu and Kashmir to remain free from fundamentalists and Pakistan sponsored elements.
In an oblique reference to BJP, PDP’s coalition partner in Jammu and Kashmir, Dr Togadia said there were various political outfits in the country and they should not let the anti-national forces to play with the sentiments of the people.  He criticized Mr Sayeed’s direction of rehabilitating surrendered and released militants in various departments, particularly the police.
Addressing the ‘Sammelan,’ Dr Togadia said VHP was also committed for the settlement of four lakh displaced Kashmiri Hindus from the Valley, citizenship rights to refugees and state subject and rights to the women of Jammu and Kashmir married outside the State.
He alleged that Mr Sayeed was speaking the language of Pakistan and advised him to respect the mandate of the people, who voted for peace, development, creation of employment avenues for the youth of the State. “Those who give the slogans ‘India Go back’ should be hanged,” he said and added that nationalist people love and have respect for the Indian Army.
He demanded the re-arrest of Masrat Alam and warned Mufti-led Government to take immediate action.
The Sammelan was organized in connection with Golden Jubilee celebrations of VHP. Tagodia said he will not call it a celebration till all displaced Pandits are rehabilitated in the Valley with honour and dignity where from they were forced to flee in 1989-90.
Earlier Sammelan was addressed by RSS Sangchalak, Brig (retd) Suchet Singh, Swami Rameshwar Dass Ji of Purani Mandi, Swami Brij Kinker Ji, Rajinder Motiyal, VHP leader Dr Sham, State president VHP Leela Karan Sharma and others.
Senior VHP and BD leaders including VHP patron, Dr Rama Kant Dubey, VHP vice president Prabhu Dayal Gupta and BJP leaders including party president, Jugal Kishore Sharma, MLAs Kavinder Gupta, Sat Sharma (CA), Rajesh Gupta and others were present.
