KUPWARA Aug 2: Ishfaq-ur-Rehman Poswal, BJP leader and national executive member ST Morcha said that Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed should come forward and make public the BJP-PDP Government’s status on  funds for public works as people were mistaken that Narendra Modi led BJP Government in Delhi was meting-out a step-motherly treatment to the State.
The BJP leader also asked Mufti Sayeed to break silence and respond to the recent anti-BJP statements by senior PDP leaders including Tariq Hamid Karra and Muzzafar Hussian Beig.
Poswal was talking to media persons in Kupwara after conclusion of his four days tour to bordering Karnah constituency in connection with BJP’s Samparak Abhiyan.
“People are mistaken that Narendra Modi led BJP Government was meting-out a step motherly treatment to the people of Jammu and Kashmir, which is quiet contrary to the facts. The BJP Government at the Centre is keen to bring over all development in the State and it is the responsibility of the State Government to make public the development programmes sponsored by Delhi,” said Poswal.
“Mufti should also react to the recent anti-BJP statements aimed at creating confusion between alliance partners and malign the image of Narendra Modi led BJP Government.
The Chief Minister should rein in the senior PDP leaders who have been issuing such unfounded anti-BJP statements from time to time. If Mufti has any plan for youths of the State, he should come forward with the same so that frustrated youths feel some respite,” he added.
Earlier, during his four day tour, Poswal addressed workers at BJP office in border town Tanghdar and a few other places of Karnah constituency. He urged them to take forward the BJP’s Abhiyan so that more people in inaccessible areas are reached-out and their concerns addressed.
The BJP leader also visited Zurhama and Awoora and paid obeisance at the shrine of famous saint Rajwali on occasion of annual religious festival.
