SRINAGAR, Sept 29 : Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, today paid glowing tributes to former Minister and noted religious cleric, late Molvi Iftikhar Hussain Ansari, on his first death anniversary.
Molvi Iftikhar Hussain Ansari had passed away on September 30 last year.
In his message of remembrance, Mufti Sayeed described Molvi Iftikhar Ansari as a close friend and companion and highlighted his role in working selflessly towards ameliorating the sufferings of the poor people.
Referring to his immense contribution in the growth of People’s Democratic Party, the Chief Minister described late Ansari as a tall and outstanding leader. “I am hopeful that his family will carry forward the legacy of illustrious Ansari in caring for the needs of the downtrodden and weaker sections of the society,” he added.
