79-year-old Sayeed was airlifted to Delhi from Srinagar on December 24 after he complained of exhaustion.
An AIIMS spokesperson said the Chief Minister, who has a history of fever and neck pain, was diagnosed as having “decreased blood counts, pneumonia and sepsis.”

“His condition is being monitored continuously in ICU. His condition continues to be critical but stable,” the spokesman said.
Hospital sources said that Sayeed was administered blood transfusion since last night after his condition, which had shown some signs of improvement during the day yesterday, worsened during the night.
