Jammu, Feb 14: Pledging to carry forward peace and development vision of former Chief Minister and party patron, Former Minister and Member Legislative Assembly Darhal Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali today said that there will be no compromise on the agenda of late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and his party will continue to raise peace and developmental issues in the interests of the people of this state.
While welcoming new entrants in the Peoples Democratic Party here Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali said that his party is not only a political party but a movement of justice for the people of this State. He said that the party was framed with a vision of giving alternate to the people in the political arena in order to taste real fruit of democracy.
He said that founder party patron late Mohammad Sayeed had pious agenda of peace and development for this State and he had proved his mettle by creating an atmosphere of peace and development in the state during his first 3 year tenure and 2nd 10th month tenure as Chief Minister.
Zulfkar said that his death has created big void but party has firm belief in the agenda of late Mufti and they will strive hard to take the agenda at logical conclusion. He said that Mufti’s vision will be guiding force for them in future and they in no case can compromise on the agenda of Late Mufti which he had framed for the prosperity of this state.
Appreciating party workers for strengthening hands of Party President Mehbooba Mufti, Chowdhary said that Mehbooba is best choice for Chief Ministership and every worker of the party want to see her taking forward the agenda of late Mufti. He said that party leaders have also shown full faith on Mehbooba and is why she has been authorised to take a call on Government formation.
Earlier, various National Conference and Congress workers of Darhal Assembly Constituency joined Peoples Democratic Party.
