POONCH, June 27: All the stranded vehicles were cleared after the authorities today restored one- way traffic on the Mughal Road.
An official spokesman said that authorities on Monday managed to clear all the stranded vehicles in Dugian area on Mughal Road.
A massive landslide hit Mughal Road on Sunday evening, due to which vehicular movement was stalled. A large number of private and commercial vehicles were stranded on the road for the past about 24 hours.
Executive Engineer, Mughal Road Division said that it is very difficult to clear the debris amid rainfall with a possibility of more landslides. He said machinery has made another temporary track to clear stranded vehicles from both sides.
“No fresh vehicles were allowed to move from the either side today. The traffic movement will be allowed tomorrow after fully clearing the road and reviewing the status,” a Traffic police official said.
