POONCH, Nov 11: Mughal Road which was closed five days back after heavy snowfall in Pir- ki -Gali area of Pir Panjal ranges, was opened to traffic today.
Executive Engineer Mughal Road Division, Abdul Ghani said that road was opened to traffic after five days today. He said the snow cutters worked hard to clear the highway between Chhatta Pani and Pir ki Gali and also on that side of the Pir Panjal and cleared the snow. He said the road was still slippery at many places on both side of the Pir- ki -Gali pass.
The R&B X-En further said that movement of traffic will be allowed between 10 am to 4 pm daily from today onward. He said snow fall was experienced advance during this season leading to closer of the road while during last year, the first snow fall was experienced on December 20 which forced the closure of this road for some days.
