JAMMU, Aug 31: In a spirited address to party workers at Jaffer Chak, Panchayat in the Marh block, senior Congress leader Mula Ram called upon the people of Jammu and Kashmir to vote for Congress and National Conference (NC) candidates in the upcoming elections.
He emphasized that supporting these candidates is crucial for ensuring a prosperous future for the region, which has long been neglected by the current administration.
Mula Ram, a veteran politician with a deep understanding of J&K’s socio-political landscape, passionately articulated the need for change in the governance of the Union Territory.
“The future of Jammu and Kashmir hinges on the choices we make today. The Congress and National Conference have a proven track record of working for the welfare of all sections of society, ensuring that every community’s voice is heard and respected,” he stated.
Highlighting the failures of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in addressing the needs of the people, Mula Ram criticized the ruling party for its alleged apathy towards the region’s development.
He accused the BJP of ignoring the genuine concerns of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and prioritizing its political agenda over the well-being of the local population.
“For years, the BJP has been in power, yet the issues of unemployment, infrastructure and social justice remain unaddressed. The people of J&K have been let down by empty promises and hollow slogans,” he asserted.
Mula Ram further expressed confidence that the Congress and NC alliance is the best option for steering Jammu and Kashmir toward a brighter future. He referred to the historical significance of the Congress-NC partnership and its potential to bring about positive change in the region.
Nathu Ram, Sansar Chand, Suraj Parkash, Sagar Choudhary, Pradeep Salaria, Kaku Lambardar, and Deva Choudhary were among those who spoke on the occasion.
They all emphasized the importance of unity and the need to rally behind the Congress-NC alliance to ensure a Government that truly represents the aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
