JAMMU, Sept 17: Municipal and Urban Local Bodies Pensioners Association (MULBPA) held a meeting under the chairmanship of its President Advocate BS Jamwal.
While speaking, Jamwal requested to Principal Secretary Housing and Urban Development Department Dheeraj Gupta to issue appropriate orders/notification in the light of implementation of Ayushman Health Scheme covering free of cost treatment to all employees of municipal and urban local bodies and their families ay the earliest so that they do not suffer.
He also urged the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to extend the benefit of enhancement of medical allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 1000 per month in favour of employees, pensioners and family pensioners at par with Central and other UTs employee, pensioners and family pensioner of India.
Consider the qualified youth for Government jobs according to their qualification and merits, he said, adding that daily wagers, contractual and adhoc employees should be regularized in a select formula scheme to be adopted by the Selection Committee of the Government so that they may not come on road and held protest.
