JAMMU, Dec 10: A general body meeting of the Municipal and Urban Local Bodies Pensioners Association, Jammu province (MULBPA) was held under the chairmanship of B S Jamwal, president of the Association, today.
The meeting discussed the long pending issues of the pensioners and criticized the Coalition Government for its failure in releasing the two DA installment @ 10% and 7% due from January and July 2014 till this date; Enhancement of Medical allowance @ Rs 1000 per month; Pensioner benefits above the age of 70 years under the Sixth Pay Commission report; Bifurcation of monthly pension and gratuity/ commutation of pensioners and Settlement of family Pension issue with regard removal of anomaly.
Among present in the meeting were B K Gupta, M L Gupta, K G Khajuria, J R Sharma, B D Verma, Latieff Masih, Indu Bhushan, Jawahar Lal Sharma, Tarsem Lal Gupta and others.
